Great Riding trip in Pebble creek and Bliss Pass

Just got out of a 4 day trip in Pebble creek in the northeast corner on Yellowstone. Had wonderful weather and did some spectacular riding all the way out pebble creek and the highlight was a ride up to the top of bliss pass. Day one was spent getting into the upper pebble creek camp and getting set up before some evening thunderstorms. Mother nature showed her wonder with a hair raising lighting storm at about 11:00 pm. Day 2 was a bluebird day for a ride to the top of 9200 ft Bliss pass. We were lucky enough to see 10 mountain goats feeding on the edge of these massive granite cliffs. The views are unmatched at the top as we towered over our camp and enjoyed a nice spread for lunch and some great conversation. Day 3 was spent hiking down stream and trying some high country small creek fishing. We were able to catch a few small cutthroat trout but was not a banner day fishing. I attribute that to very cold waters at about 50 degrees and I do not believe many fish have made the journey that far up pebble creek. It was getting more active down stream from our camp. I assume lower down by the camp ground it was alot better angling. We all enjoyed a bottle of chilled white wine and took in the sights and enjoyed each other’s company. The last day we decided to ride the long way out to the pebble creek camp ground and were blessed with a grizzly sow with her 3 cubs at about 100 yards. in the beginning of the ride. Made my day and a great way to end a wonderful trip. Thanks to the Fetner family as we  made some what I believe to be long lasting friendships. We had one day to turn around and get packed up to embark on our 10 day thorofare trip in about 4 hours from now. See you in 10 days!!!!
